Once verified, your bank replaces your actual debit card number with a Device Account Number (DAN).
This DAN is stored securely in the Secure Element, a special chip on your device.
Your actual card number is never stored on the device or Apple servers.

Google

Instead of storing your actual debit card number, Google Wallet uses tokenization.
Your bank issues a virtual account number (a token) that is stored securely on your device.
This token is stored in a secure environment on your phone (like the Trusted Execution Environment or Secure Element).

Samsung

Tokenization: Your real card number is never shared with merchants.
Knox Security: Samsung devices use Samsung Knox, a defense-grade security platform that monitors for threats.
Remote Disable: If your phone is lost or stolen, you can remotely lock or erase Samsung Wallet via Find My Mobile.
